Vidar walked down the winding streets of Diagon Alley. He had his list of things he needed for Hogwarts in the pocket of his robes. His parents had needed somethings from other stores that he had no interest in visiting at the present time, so they had let him go about getting his things on his own. His father had said something to his mother about it helping to improve his character. He knew the first place he was going to was Olivander's. He had been wanting his own wand for as long as he could remember. As he opened the front door he heard the tinkle of the little bell that hung above it. He walked confidently up to the counter and rang the bell there. As he waited for someone to come and assist him he looked around at all the shelves lined with small boxes which he assumed were filled with wands.

Reaching up, Audrine dramatically wiped away the sweat that was non-existant on her gorgeous, pale, grinning face. Cerulean blue eyes scanned over the shelves of the store she had just gotten complete ownership of, also being the shelves she had just reorganized hundreds upon hundreds of wands on. While she kept the wand shop's name in memory of its last owner, she definitely felt as if a new setting and organization of the shop was in order; that was the first thing she had set her mind to upon receiving full ownership of Ollivanders. Just as she reached the chair she had set up by some magazines, in case the platinum blonde wanted to relax on those slow business days, a bell's jingle echoed from the doorway of her little shop.
Smiling brightly at the signal of someone else entering Ollivander's, AJ straightened out her locks of hair and smoothed out her jean mini-skirt as she made her way to the center-front counter in the store-the place where she did all of her business for this particular store. As she spotted a boy glancing around at the other merchandise that was available, the recent Hogwarts graduate only grinned wider, toothier, before leaning against the countertop with crossed arms and an eyebrow raised-a habit of hers, she supposed.
"Hey there-need some help, or are you just browsing?"

Curiosity of one box in particular had almost gotten the better of Vidar. He was just about to walk over and pick it up when someone asked if he needed assistance. He turned to face the woman behind the counter and smiled coyly. "Um...yes...well I hope you can help me." He finally managed to get out. This was the first time he had ever had dealings with a shopkeeper while on his own and he was very nervous. "I am in need of a wand."

Smirking slightly, the girl watched the young eleven year old boy with interest. As Audrine noticed him show a certain curiosity in a box containing a wand behind her, she nodded slightly, reaching up to tousle her short, platinum blonde locks. As she allowed her arm to once again fall to her side, cerulean blue eyes averting their gaze back to Vidar. Giggling slightly at his comment, the drummed her fingertips against the countertop, a slight clicking noise from her nails making contact with the wood echoing back up to her ears.
"Of course I can help you." Allowing her eyes to assess the student in front of her, the shopkeeper smiled merrily as she finally came to a conclusion about the size of the wand. Nine and a half inches seemed to be perfect-not too small, not too long; it was a wand he would eventually grow into. As for the core and wood type, well, that would all make itself very clear after a few tries.
Turning slightly, humming a song to herself as she did so, AJ pulled a total of four boxes off of the shelf quickly, the one at the bottom of the stack she had made being the one that the boy in front of her had seemed particularly interested in...she'd save that one for last, as it would probably be an interesting site to behold. Opening the first box, the Hogwarts graduate pulled out a light brown wand, turning it over thoughtfully in her small, pale hands before she held it out to Vidar.
"All wands that I'm going to try with you are nine and a half inches, as it seems that size would fit your growth pattern the best." Smiling toothily at him, she then went on with the details of the particular wand she was holding. "This wand is made of mahogany wood, and it has three crimson Phoenix feathers inside of it. Give it a try honey."

Vidar's heart leapt into his throat as he watched the shopkeeper pull the box he had been eying off of the shelf. Had she read his mind or merely just seen him ogling it. He watched as she pulled a few more boxes off the shelves as well. He had hoped to see what was in the box he had been looking at first, but she had put it on the bottom of the small stack of boxes. He listened intently as she explained about the wand she was now holding. He smiled back at her as he reached for the wand with a trembling hand. It wasn't because he was afraid or nervous, it was just the sheer anticipation at finally having a wand in his hand. As his fingers wrapped around the wood he waited to see what would happen now.
